saving progress stinks
The progress isn't being saved exactly where it should be.It sucks because I was on "exit the 4th floor" & made it all the way down found new clues for the other victim and was returning back up to the 4th floor room, got killed and the game resumed way back to "exit the 4th floor room." {with all that progress lost}It should be saved at the clue found points.

well the collectibles you pick up are usually saved, its some other things that aren't. For example i quit the game shortly after completing a sidequest in town and the next time i booted it up i had to do it again which was a bit annoying. This is really just a problem with autosaving in general.

Checkpoint save system is always garbage for any game imo. Being able to save whenever and wherever shouldn't even be a feature, it should be included for all games.

This sort of saving is incredibly outdated in trying to squeeze as much "replayability" as possible. People sometimes have stuff to do and don't want to keep playing until the next checkpoint pops up or risk losing progress and having to replay that part again later. It's annoying and a waste of time.

Yes the collectables are saved but it would be a smoother application if I could make my own saves as well as the autosaves.
Because if you are following the plot as you are supposed to be doing,It's like losing the page mark of the favorite book you're reading and needing to start the chapter over again.
