Game is not supported on Windows 11
That's right, if you have Windows 11 you will not be able to run this game through steam/ubisoft connect. But you can however, go to the game's files and run "fc3_blooddragon_d3d11.exe". Although steam won't detect that you're playing it.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear you encounter this.

For clarity, can I check exactly what you encounter when you try to run the game?

when i launch the game from both steam and ubisoft connect, steam will show for a couple of seconds that it's running and after that it will show the launch button without opening the game at all. I've talked with ubisoft support and got told that the game is not supported for windows 11

Hey there,

Sorry to hear this.

Can I check if you have tried running the game in compatibility mode?

Many thanks,

i accidentally opened discussions of this game, and i got curious about your statement, i own the game on steam, AND on uplay (i think i bought it on steam first, and then i got it for free on uplay at some point maybe 3 or 4 years ago). And i downloaded both Uplay and Steam versions of the game, and both of them work perfectly fine on Windows 11, with zero changes to files or any "extra" manipulations. i think it is a user problem...

could be? because the game runs all good if i launch via game files
Also i talked with another guy and he has the exact same issues. (game won't open via steam or ubiconnect, verifying the game files results into a 2.3gb update all the time)

Same for me, all i needed was to run the game from the game folder. It is located in the "bin" folder called "FC3_BloodDragon_d3d11 if others are looking for it in the future.

I have Windows 11 for the first time past few weeks after no computer for years, and a lot of games either need the windows compatibility or some really simple mod, but for me, this solved my launch failures for this game. Considering its Ubisoft, there's probably dozen more problems involved unfortunately.

This is off topic, in case you do get it to work. You'll notice when you pause while in game, it will attempt to connect to the old servers and seem like its taking forever, but after a full minute it will give up and allow you to continue playing. There is a mod to fix it, but honestly it doesn't bother me, i just go do something like push ups or drink some water.

This did not work for me. I own this in Ubisoft Connect and all exes in bin act like they will work and never launch.

Ubi support told me that it's unsupported on Windows 11.
