I mean, I don't mind people making a laid back fun-focused spin off of the main installment just so you could relax and have fun throughout the entire game as opposed to regular far cry three where there's drama and actual commitment, but if you're going to make just one spin off and be done with it why the hell do you make this massive gigantic cliffhanger right at the end of the story? There's thirty seconds of camera zooming in into darlings purple eyes clearly indicating that there's something wrong and more to uncover in the story. And all of this despite the fact they never had plans to continue blood dragon? Then why include the teasing? I genuinely don't get it why would they do that

about the cliffhanger ending, the darkness 2's last scene, you get left behind in hell by your girlfriend who turns out to be some kind of angel from that universe (i never read the comics and didnt play in a bit), then the credits roll yet there's no darkness 3 after 9 years. pretty big ending and alot of stuff to reveal to just end the games

but other than that, the wikipedia page says "A remastered version of Blood Dragon will be included in the season pass for Far Cry "

I've been meaning to try out the darkness for seven years now. Well I don't know, it's kinda irritating when devs do that for no reason. And look, maybe those two cases are different because the darkness is the main game and the full blown IPA so I'm kinda convinced they were going to make darkness three abd further the story but ran into problems. Whereas here given the fact it was a minor spin off it's most likely the devs knew from the start they were simply never going to make another blood dragon, that it's just a one time deal to shake things up and offer people an experiment to enjoy. If this is the case, the complain is still valid: why would you make a massive cliffhanger if you clearly knew you'd never make another game

I think one of the reasons why they added this, is because its a uber cliché of 80s films with it being a plot twist after a happy ending which is seen in many films like "blade runner". I don't think it was intentional to set up another game, simply as another cliché like the montages or revenge of death of a character. I can see your frustration but I don't think another game will happen when it was literally made as a joke DLC making comical references and clichés of the 80s. Still a great game either way.

Well yeah, that sounds credible because movies back then overused this twist ending trope way too much. Seeing how the point of the game is to parody that genre and era I guess it makes sense

I'm afraid it won't happen, knowing that the creative director (I don't know if it's the right term, but I'm talking about the man who was in charge of the project) left Ubisof many years ago.

I still have hope for a sequel though, because surely Ubisoft knows how well it was received and how loved it is today. They can't be THAT blind. I think our best chance is to really push for it and never stop asking Ubi for a seconde one.

On a previous post months ago, I remember saying that since the Blood Dragon Universe feeds on cliché and all, Far Cry 6 Blood Dragon 2 would have been a damn good title.

we can only hope a sequel arrives in where Darling, at the end of the first blood dragon game knocked Rex unconscious with like a surprise injection or something, takes the Killstar and through some means strips him of all the abilities hes gained through the first game, but not before confessing in true 80's fashion her intention for world domination by taking the dragon blood and all of Sloan's and Carlyle's tech and buggering off to another fortress island in order to weaponize it but not like that ape Sloan or that mongoloid Carlyle had intended. Something more grand but utterly ridiculous because its Blood Dragon 2. We also learn because shes a Canadian she got a synthetic body after her born body was ruined by radiation that she injected with dragon blood and has now become a goddess like person able to bend steel bars and shrug off most small arms. Think you'll need more than just the Killstar to take this boss out.

Plus stuff like 'Spider' soldiers in the same vein as the omega force but uploaded with Spider's personality from the first game because she managed to get to his brain before it expired without Sloan knowing after he killed him and put it on ice. All this not only to mess with Rex but because there better than the mark 5's or whatever since Darling has fine tuned them after reviewing all the combat data from Rex's time against the omega force and plus Spider knows Rex since they've fought together but all her soldiers wont know its Rex because their blind to that fact for whatever reason. Maybe part of this story could be Rex 'liberating' them and they turn against Darling. Ending could be with a nuke or something considering Darling is now a dragon blood infused cyber god.
