Total Annihilation vs Planetary Annihilation
So you got the choice:
You can buy the best STR ever made: Total Annihilation, for only $5

or you can give your money to Planetary Annihilation which is almost the same game graphicaly, they just took old skins & models concept and put it inside their game.

And for that, you are about to pay $90 to $200 to be able to report their bugs&developpment fails.

Nice.

Will not buy this, even after the release.
All the games developpers are going horribly wrong with those commercials earlyaccess/alpha & beta.
We are here to enjoy the game after we bought it. Not paying to test their broken games.

I agree on you here, and I was kinda looking forward to Planetary Annihilation, but after seeing gameplay video's it actually looks alot worse for some reason then Supreme Commander. And the 'space travel' where you can land on asteroids and moons or whatever just seems like a gimmicky thing. No thanks, if this price was cheap I probably would've checked it out but even on-release price is too much for this atm. Might get it on a 75% steam sale in the future but I'm back to Supreme Commander, it just looks so much better and is still alot of fun.

You aware its the same developers as Total Annihilation right?
By buying Planetary Annihilation your supporting the creators of Total Annihilation.
They should have just left it after kickstarter, none of this would be happening if they just did that.

It is a high price for an alpha but I understand they are offering it as a "if you missed the kickstarter oppotunity" kind of thing. All other early access games offer on a sort of simple kickstarter model that conitually rolls instead of being a set amount of time.

I was a massive fan of Total Annihilation but I won't be buying into the Alpha or Beta as I cannot justify that amount of money. I will however look forward to the full release.

If you do want a good early access game get KSP, it's on offer as well at the mo.

Wait until its released in December, it will be $40 then...probably less when sales season starts
Or don’t buy it at all

Early Access
"Pricing of individual games may change over time

Some developers will start by offering a discount for buying early while others will charge a premium, depending on their goals and the level of commitment and feedback they desire from Early Access customers."

If you just want to enjoy a finished game the high price just saved you from buying a game that is not finished. be glad the price is as high, it saved you from buying the game with your wrong ideas of how this development process works.

So i said before, how is this not an OP ripoff of Total annihilation? some scumbag said that by my logic, starcraft 2 is ripoff of the 1, well both belong to blizzard, does this overpriced crap belongs to cavedog as well?

Advertising that Other Site is generally a bad thing to do on Steam forums. Some Steam users really hate non-Steam platforms.

Btw, SupCom is better than TA, imho.

To be honest I think uber should not have given steam users early access at all, but it was requested

No? Because Cavedog got bankrupt :P But a big bunch of the Developers at Uber were originally working TA SupCom ect. So what is the problem exactly here?

And how exactly do you enjoy a alpha when you are not going to help at all in the testing and trying to use eraly access as a excuse for cheap games? Seriously..

Or you could just get one of the freeware games that are made using Total Annihilation models. apparently TA already had all the models in 3d, it just rendered them poorly because of the available GPUs. I hate it when companies get something people have been putting paramount effort into for free, then package it up and try to sell it.
