Early rushing = bots, typically.
The fastest way to a fabricator is with the bot factory.
That being said, vehicles are superior in toughness and firepower so they will usually form the majority of your land units. Bots are very very good early game, and even in mid to late game, t2 bots can be ridiculously deadly, but will be murdered by t2 vehicles in direct confrontations. Basically, they both have their place.
far as the basic tanks ( ants ) go, higher armour , costs more but they also have omost twice as much range as a basic attack bot. but they cannot blob up as well to attack in a group ( 1 good and 1 bad thing from that... good thing is... when they cant blob well , harder for bombers to carpet bomb them to nothing, as for the bad thing is... usually they make a long thin battle line and usually get stuck on all sorts of stuff due to path finding issues.
personally...
I perfer the vehicles over the bots. but
both are great
I often mix them the bots make great cannon fodder while tanks close the range and if the bots do get in close they will tear them up a bit.
sry?
Bro, this thread is five years old. The game isn't even the same game anymore. lollol
