You can start Steam in offline mode or find PA.exe in your program files and launch it directly.

If single-player is grayed out it's mean your PC likely not met requirements for offline play:

Sadly, but this is no longer works at least for some players. :-(
Steam version always attempt to connect to Steam and won't start without Steamworks DLLs.

OK thanks for letting me know. I guess I actually have both the steam and uberlauncher installs on my PC at the same time.

It still works, at least for me.

Weird. Few players reported that direct launch of PA.exe now trigger Steamworks integration so if there some problem with Steam Web API authentication you can't bypass it this way.

I've had that issue many month ago already when I was looking at how to support pa stats replay links for steam users.
However once you have a Playfab account you can download a steam free version of PA from https://store.uberent.com/download/pa and use that instead.

Yeah true. Non-Steam version obviously works.

Interesting! Nice to see they have a DRM free version. Can you play offline on this version?

Figured it out, thanks. Had to go into settings and tell it to allow my computer to run offline because it said my specs werent up to par with what I should have. However it does run a 4v4 game flawlessly at 60 fps the whole time. Who knows?

It's not really DRM-free if you're bought game via Steam as your game license tied to Steam.
No steam account access == no access to Uber downloads.

Of course. It's exactly the same as Steam version except there is no automatic login and other Steamworks features like achievements.

Hmm? I have an account that I bought via a steam-key and after I created my playfab account I could basically shut down steam, go to uber, download the steam free version and play that with my playfab account. Can't see any difference to my "never had steam"-account.

Technically your license still tied to Steam and may be easily revoked by Steam and as result I expect it's wouldn't work for Uber too after some point.

Playfab has an account system tied to game licenses, sure. That won't stop us from creating something like FAF years from now if Uber shuts down the servers.

So steam could revoke the license and shut down online play. I'd say that has not much to do with DRM: The game I get from Uber is completely free of that and contains the server and everything I need to play. Wether I have an account for the official online play service is another question, but imho not one of DRM in the game. I mean you can still play offline or on custom servers all you want.
