Yeah ditto, I think it boils down to the whole tryhard vs casual thing. Some people are wired to compete others are wired to cooperate. Humanity needs both.
Competitive gamers are a very visible minority. Casual gamers are harder to detect precisely because they don't like making spectacles of themselves.
One of the great things about this game is the single player experience. GW is lots of fun I think. It makes an awesome alternative to skirmishing or replaying a campaign.
Sidenote: I would like to see a traditional story based single player mission set eventually, but as an addition to GW mode, not a replacement. Also the "end" of the story missions should be the beginning of GW mode so that in spirit your GW play is a continuation.
