Very long loading times
So, I really like this game, but my problem is, that the menues are lagging, and the loading of the systems just takes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. It often happens, that I start this game to launch nukes and planets on my enemies, but then, when I want to start the round, I remember that loading the systems takes just waaaaaaaaaay too long, and I decide to jsut play something else.
But why does it take so long? It's probably not because of my PC, because I have an Intel Core i7 with ca. 3GHz, 12 GB memory, and an Nvidia Geforce 840M. Or is it because I'm using a system built by myself? (1 Earth, 3 Moons)

Anybody else got the same problem?

What does a "while" mean?
5 minutes?
10 minutes?
30 minutes?
24 hours?

Up to 30 minutes? I could complete an entire short match in that time! That's just too much! Is there no way of improving that? I don't think so!

They definitely did. Lagging menues and 30 minute long loading times are just inacceptable for a full game.

if the 30 minutes claim isn't a troll post I will be amazed.
I have an i5-2500k , 8gb RAM and an AMD radeon...um...7 series i think, it was pretty awesome 1 or 2 years ago. Anyway, when playing galactic war last night, i played a 4 planet system, with a few different types of planet and moderate size, and it took maybe 2-3 minutes? That is acceptable in my eyes. Oh I'm also on good internet, BT Infinity 2 with like 60Mb download speeds.
Trying to think of solutions....update your graphics drivers to like, the absolute latest. Is your internet good and stable? have you got anything running in the background? more experience people could probably tell you more about RAM usage and such, which is crucial to loading times.
If it helps, optimisation work is ongoing too.

If noone here gets you any help, try the Uber forums in the support section. Ask nicely and people will be happy to help :)

Well, to be honest, I never got 30 minute long loading times. But they were long enough. Or I'm just a really impacient idiot.
But thanks for your answer!

try timing it and letting us know, with info about the system too, like how big the planets are etc.

ha, unintentional joke. But even 10 planets shouldn't be taking you 30 minutes to load :/
