All builder units except the commander can build an Orbital Launcher. Once built, you need to build the astraeus or orbital fabrication unit. The astraeus can pick up one unit with the LOAD command in the side bar. After it is loaded and the astraeus is still selected click on the planet you want to go to by either zooming out or using the picture in picture display and it should start making its way to the planet via orbits. Then you unload the unit with the UNLOAD command (which was hopefully a fabber or commander) and start building away. Just be sure no one else is on the planet that tries to kick you off.
With the orbital fabber you can send it to another planet and build a teleporter from orbit. If you build another teleporter on the home planet and connect the two, you can send your whole ground army via portal to another planet.
Currently the game doesn't have mass transports, starting Egg, or the unit cannon just yet, but those will also be options later down the line.
