Need help with planet laser

Right, so I've just set up the 5 pieces to use the laser on the metal planet. I was ready to use the laser, so I clicked the "annihilate" button. Thing is, there are 3 orbiting moons, and I have a base with Commander on one of them, and I didn't know my moon's name, so I pressed cancel to look at the name. After that, I go back to the metal planet and... Nothing. How do I get that popup again? How do I annihilate? Clicking on the Catalysts don't seem to do anything. Help!
