The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication is a solid step up from the first game in every possible way. The visuals are better, character animations are more fluid, voice acting is available in multiple languages (including English), and both the gameplay and the story feel much more refined. If the first game dipped its toes into adding variety to a walking sim, this one fully embraces it.

The cast of characters has a lot more depth this time. They each have their own personalities, motives, and small arcs that make them feel more than just horror game tropes. You actually get to care about them, and that emotional connection helps the story hit harder when things go south.

There are more puzzles, chase sequences now have interactive elements, and best of all, there's a ghost dog companion with its own story. That dog is adorable and adds surprising emotional weight to the game.

Just like the first game, this one occasionally breaks tension with some irony and self-awareness. Personally, I enjoy that kind of tone-shift because it keeps the experience fresh, but I can see how it might not work for everyone. There’s also some light self-insert material that could feel a bit indulgent, but I just treat it as a silly easter egg and move on.

For achievement hunters, this one is easy and painless. One playthrough with chapter select is enough to 100% it, and there are no glitched or missable trophies. All achievements are offline.

Definitely worth your time if you're into Asian horror stories with a mix of suspense, emotion, and just the right amount of quirk.

It's a very well-made game with an appropriate game length and difficulty

The final part of the ballerina chapter was especially my all-time number one moment in this game.
It’s incredibly well-directed, with perfect harmony between tension and the tempo of the music!

Great game, good atmosphere and a nice story - although will agree that it's a little confusing in places.

One thing letting it down is that the cutscenes are not skippable at all, so it is frustrating if you want to go back and get ask the extras. If a skip button could be added that would be incredible!

I thought this was a friggin good game. It had a great balance of sensible and doable puzzles, a decent storyline, a nice ending; the character development was meh tbh but still good enough to leave me satisfied at the end of the story!
The jumpscares were good, the boss fights were 7/10 for me. Most weren't veerryyy challenging but there was one boss fight in particular that I WANT TO SINGLE OUT AND PRAISE! That boss fight was one of the most perfectly artistic, scary, challenging, acoustically satisfying, well balanced boss fights ever. I enjoyed that boss fight so much I had to re-do it after I finished the game.
All in all the game has all the hallmarks of a good horror game. It wasn't just a cheap jumpscare ridden game with basic tasks and boring story, this had a good story with a diverse set of tasks and enemies. AND a great soundtrack.
So I very much recommend this game!!!

Honestly very surprised on how enjoyable this game was. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys story driven games with horror elements.

I was jumping in expecting something like the original game, but it's quite different from The Bridge Curse 1.
While the og had a really scary atmosphere and jumpscares, this one felt like PG 12. I usually get scared super easy, but it feels like the devs were going for a pretty mild vibe focused more on the "adventure" part of the game, which is not bad at all.
The story was all right, even though we barely move further than what the beginning of the games shows us.
I guess this will be more enjoyable if you watched the movie, cause it has many parallels.
