-.- had to restart a level because it seems those invisible walls work in both directions... so much for exploration in these games.

Most of the common cheat codes like give ammo or give weapons/powers/skills have been locked by the devs because their artistic vision was to make the game arcade like with leaderboards instead of fun.
Is there anyway of unlocking them?
I guess we found the main source of the problem with modern games, they're really trying to make everything like the arcades were where we don't actually own the game, they do and we're just getting 'permission' to use it (much like putting quarters into the machine) but overall it belongs to them. This is a disturbing trend/development in todays game development mentality.
Not only that, it also explains the arena fests as well that most so called "Old School" modern games seem to suffer from as well while game devs today often keep missing the point that actual FPS games from the 90s were not arena fests at all but maps that you actually explored and backtracked to get ammo/health/armor/items/secrets/etc (which not to mention the enemies were placed and encountered throughout the map and some of them teleported in especially after getting a key, not locked into a room with spawning enemies), what was the last time you've seen that in a modern game?
Shame that ROTT 13 is the only FPS game that came out recently with functional cheat codes and even that game wasn't really truly old school like it's preddecessor was (if they really valued the original game so much how could they missed that?) due to the checkpoint system which you can't backtrack to the previous areas before that, you can't quicksave and such as if modern devs often keep missing the point what actually makes a game old school (backtracking to get items and maps are explorable, quicksaves, cheat codes) and perhaps they could have expanded on that and make it new again though but they didn't though and keep making the same mistakes over and over again (Arena fests and Trendmail like progression) while calling their games "old school".

yes the files are written in either squirrel script or 3ds Max 2009 they are then encrypted. but the game reads based on contents and directory location. so if you can unencrypt them or open and read them in squirrel script or 3ds Max 2009 then you can copy and past them in the right directory as plain text and edit them.
I'll try that out next week end.
Total dickmove on their part, it clearly shows that most modern game devs are forcing people to play a certain way.
I know they call this the dev's "ARTISTIC VISION"
Definition: ARTISTIC VISION : Ruining video games since mass effect 3 or was it dragon age 2?
Also "ARTISTIC VISION" clearly shows pretentious egoistic narcassism on the dev's part which is also now all about being Hollywood forgetting the fact that games are not just art but they are meant to be played and have fun with. They've clearly forgotten what makes a game.
I mostly play games as devs intended and only use cheats for screenshots, but man... it's getting harder and harder to do that. Losing free promotional material, they are.
