How to beat Zilla on Chapter 13?

At some point he starts regenerating his health. I let him gain full health 2-3 times then kept slashing, is this a bug?

Playing on Insane mode, if that matters

On insane.. You have to let him fully regen at least 4-5 times before his regen slows down enough for you to slash him down. I almost gave up on the game here thinking it was a bug but finally was able to kill him. Pretty silly and tedious as its a freaking easy fight.

You don't have to let him regen 5 times, you just have to aim at his head and it will take away more damage than he can regen. This way you kill him on first try.

Oh.. his head... And all this time I thought you have to go for his hand. Because in the end you slice it off. Good to know :)

dont be stupid in insane mod you can defeat him at first you have to let him regen u never have enough dmg to kill him while he regenates

don't be stupid we're talking about the insane difficulty, not a mod

so go for the head? I can't find any info on this and it seems impossible besides let him regen 5 times which sounds beyond tedious

yes headhits deal more damage even with melee

i ended up doing the quick save and load trick, suddenly he's regenerating about half as fast and my hits actually do damage. fight seems to be majorly bugged. also no one mentions this anywhere but you dont just go for the head. once his health is all the way down from head hits attack his arm \ hand \ sword arm

I used the same trick and it worked. Its kinda bug.

On insane difficulty confirmed. Aim for the head and you will eventually grind him down.

He regen less based on FPS, so self lock your game at 50fps/hz wih V sinc make the fight easier
