Skirmish Trail and Learning Campaign Completion

How far have you gotten on the Skirmish Trail and Learning Campaigns?

I have completed all the Learning Campaigns. All were on normal difficulty, except for the one saving the Donkeys and a couple of the siege missions. For some reason the Donkey one gave me fits and I HATE the siege missions (just not good at them).

Last night I completed the Second Skirmish Trail (Breath of the Infidel?). For me, I like to turtle behind my walls, then boom out all at once, so the Skirmish trails is forcing me out of that. A couple of missions I did not build any walls at all.

If anyone has gotten further, how much more difficult does it get? I never really played the first Crusader that much (mainly because I started playing the Stronghold series a couple of years ago and I could not get past the older graphics). I did play a lot of the Stronghold Legends trails. I was able to all of them, except for the last 2-3.

I'd highly recommend grinding the campaign out on hard before hitting up the skirmish trails.

Trails can be fun but also very stressful, since most of time you are placed into very huge disadvantageous possition ( like in the middle, between enemies ) or areas with very poor resource potential. On some levels you will need to rush ( because otherwise you will simply lose ). Few levels with Allies on your side don't make it easier, since you will probably depend on them way too much. Don't hesitate to ask for help from them and periodically request food and stone ( between 25 - 100 ), this will make your life slightly easier. Last level will require you lots of patience and tricks, it's 1v6 with you in the middle and with 500 starting gold, vs them with 750 gold. Since AI's also cheat, don't feel like it will be easy - they will still build their walls and army as if they had 5k gold.
