I bought it full price and think it was a great deal. Lots of replayability. In this game you pretty much build a strong economy, build a strong military and build a castle. Really fun game. I would wait for the sale. Stronghold Crusader HD is also a good game.
thank you for the info. I dont understand why the rating is just 63¨%

A lot of the reviewers give it such a low score becuase many of the unique features are cut out from Stronghold Crusader HD, which I agree, but nonetheless this is still a great game.
Thank you , i will buy it for sure in autum sale

Not worth for full price i think, since i have encountered too many bugs.
But yeah it has replayability, its worth if you are buying in sales.

Ill be completely honest with you, this game compared to the orginal stronghold crusaders is a pretty big disappointment. If I had to choose between playing thisone or the last one I'd choose the last one everyday even with its low end graphics. If this is your first Stronghold game your experience may differ than those who played the orginial but I'd say the original crusaders is the best stronghold game. I don't know what it is about this game but it wasnt worth the 50 bucks i played, def get it when its on sale
I understand what you said about the first stronghold games, but i´ve never played them. november 25 begins the next steam sale and i think i will buy this game

I don't recommend this game to you. Ai is suck. Go play first game and you will fall in love with this series. But if you will play this one you'll hate it.

My feelings about this game are very mixed. I started with the first stronghold a few years ago (maybe ten?) and loved the concept of building my own... stronghold! The economy part, the building and the fighting made a great balance in this game.
Then in crusader we had just to fight in deserts... Understandable, but personal I prefer lush areas much more. Anyway - the gameplay evolved with merchenaries and this game feeled even more addictive. (I played over 100h in an non-steam-version.)

Crusader 2 feels mixed to me, because of the lack of water ditches and tunnel diggers, the simplified gameplay for siegebuilders and just a few npcs before all of this overpriced "a few missions more and 2 npcs" DLCs.
The good side is, that this game now runs very smooth on my system (lagged a lot at the beginning, even with an gtx 770), we have an multiplayer with building A.I back and some of the missions are really challenging.

I would say - if you can get this game in an sale, just try it. You will enjoy building nice castles, if you don't just rush, abuse the bad A.I (I just say single towers full of archers at key points) and use just a few units (horsearchers ftw!) instead of an interesting mix. :)

Just bought the game. (Played Stronghold: Crusaders nearly 10 yeas ago, still have the cover for the CD, but not the CD itself... it's gone, only memories of it are left - and i remember it being a damn good game)

Will i be disappointed?

I loved the last game for it's atmospheric sense of involvement the kings created, almost like in Shogun 2 but better, because they both visually and audibly let you know what was going on etc, and watching resources being piled up + other neat aspects im struggling to find in games nowadays.

I have read comments and everything, and wonder: did they Really ♥♥♥♥ up that bad??? And if they did, can't they just add some of the aspects from that game to this game? Shouldn't be that hard...

If you have a nostalgia for Stronghold, this will be worth it, especially if it's a sale

Frustrating at times. AOE series much easier to use.
