Economy Balance
I don't know if there's another thread on this anywhere, but does anyone else feel like the economy is EXTREMELY out of balance here? The original Crusader was really smooth, but this one is super ridiculous in my opinion. Wood camps- old price: 3 wood; new price: 10 wood; Old delivery: 18 wood; new delivery: 12 wood. In the old game, you came out +15, but in this one you come out -8. (That's a difference of 23 wood) Not to mention that EVERYTHING in SC2 costs considerably MORE than it used to. Mill- old price: 20 wood; new price: 200 wood. Fletcher- old price: 10 wood; new price: 50 wood. Am I the only one who is frustrated by this?

in sc you can take wood so easy, wood economy in sc2 is more balanced (in new version )

but
to buy bread need 100 gold (unreal, unbalanced)....
is better to use 3 catapults and not 1 war wolf (you spend less gold and you have 3x Damage.....
who will take ranger's when he can take crossbowmen?.....
who will buy bows when he can take arabian archers?
why should i build workshop (and spend 100 gold) for bows when i can take arabian archers?.....
and some more details make the game unbalanced

The Food and Happyness system is pretty much unbalanced. If you produce every kind of food, which might cost you 30 up to 40 buildings, and you set food to maximum, your popularity gets a +15 (+65) bonus compared to the singlefood-maximum (+50). Wherease two or three candlemakers can produce enough candles to set Religion on second level and grant you a +14 bonus.
Is this really balance?
Bread is the only way. All other food buildings produce the goods too slow to be able to feed your peasants...
I really hope for an economy-Update which is definately needed!

Nope, you can have a strong eco with mixed food, but it's useless to set it up to 1/2. It's perfectly equal with a bread only eco set at x2. Check this guide if this can help :) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=590540316

Yeah the wood bugged at me at first, but u get used to it, you just gotta build more wood-camps at the start , so u can make up for it,
@Fuavarra, as Mars said, there are different kind of economies and combinations.
You can make 4 type of food on 1/2 easily ( +5) , and produce beer + candles to get your taxes up. Bread economy is great, but there are different combinations for sure ;)
i can build 4-5 different economies that all work fine
