Stronghold Crusader 2 VS Stronghold 2

Is there a difference? If so, is it a huge difference?

Its a very huge difference.

Crusader 2 is more like the older strongholds without that many popularity buildings and things like thievs, rats or junk. There are less goods to produce and you can not look into your towers or castle ceep or church like in stronghold 2.

Crusader 2 dont have a peace campaign and its war campaign are only skirmish trails exept of the mini campaigns which dont provide any cutsceens but which are more like a campaign as the skirmish trails.

Also some of your troops have special abilitys now.

Its more like crusader 1 with many improvements but its not like strognhold 2.

But of course its the same core gameplay because its a stronghold game.

I personally love both games :)

Watch a single video with crusader 2 gameplay and you will see the differences instantly. :)

SC2 is more basic than stronghold 2, thats why i like it. Stronghold 2 is ultimate castle sim. Stronghold Crusader is RTS with castle sim elements

Don't diss Stronghold 2. Stronghold 2 is one of the better ones.

I agree with this, it felt overly complicated with the rat and theif mechanics gave too much to do as soon as the game started and once the you built up some kind of defence the AI was laughably bad often having half finished castles with little troops. Crusader 2 in my opinion is a step in the right direction.

I love both games, and for me PERSONALLY stronghold 2 and crusader 2 are perfect as they are i only whised me my slingers back for crusader 2.

But for stronghold 2:

When you understand the mechanic behind the rats and the theifs its very easy to deal with it. 3 well placed buildings for rats thiefs or sewage often are enought to have no problems with it.

And the way you can look into your buildings and the way the lord interacts with them is fantastic. I spend hours only watching my lord eating at a feast or sitting in the church or waching my monks in thair monastery or simply watching the broduce buildings work.

That two games are different but i wish me more stronghold games like stronghold 2 while i dont wish that the crusader titels of stronghold or all strongholds becomes like stronghold 2.
