The problem of homeless followers
This is a real problem in Godus right now. Using Finger of God to dispose of houses or converting Astari to your population creates homeless people, which slowly drains your happiness. This is broken at the moment, and needs fixing IMO. Why? They can't move into their own houses or ever move out of homelessness. This is the Astari's greatest weapon against me; Flooding my streets with the homeless and driving my follower's happiness into the ground. Is there any way to dispose of these individuals other than sacrificing them for gems/brutally executing them? If not, the devs NEED to remedy this.

They can build themselves new homes, leash them to a vacant plot.

i dont get that? If i could build them a home i would but ive simply no space in my perfectly laid out housing project areas. I work in one area and then move to another plotting out what size home goes where, but im at a point where ive everything built and am now just farming belief so i can build some more since im out of it but i have these homless people. What do i do without losing happyness? I dont wanna sacrifice them or kill them, and i cant house them as im out of room.....

Edit
also eventually im gonna run out of room when i do have belief. I mean every single hour ill gain more of these astari.

My game has stalled because of stuff like this, between having to cater for homes for Astari and making up what I lose when I sleep and come back and my belief draining because of it. The next area(s) I need to zone out, I can't due to lack of belief and workers. I'm hoping my luck will turn soon but I dont see it happening until Thursday? My happiness should be peak by then and the Astari hopefully rotting entirely coated in swamp (also I have swamp blocking the route they take to flee to my society too)

I sent the Astari to the pit.
Never had any problems with happiness.

All of my homeless are breeders, and won't do anything when I drag them to a vacant plot - as the OP said, something needs to be done about them :-(

FOG works well on the breeders. Also they will leash to the pit of doom. I know killing off followers for basically no reason sucks but that's pretty much the option right now.

I'm just glad happiness hasn't been implemented in weyword yet cause there's not pit of doom and I don't like smooshing them.

Side note: I brought a few Astari with me to Weyworld to see what would happens. Seems that they will build homes with Astari decorations but like homeworld, they don't generate beleif or join settlements.
put the astari at the beach since the dont generate beleif
The biggestproblem i found was when the game updated it deleted all my builders and abodes, homeless farmers can't build homes. Had to restart.

Actually, happiness is active in Weyworld, but due to some bug the bar doesn't appear there. That's probably also why your Astari that you brought over don't generate belief or join settlements, they're associated with the existing Weyworld Astari tribes and act similarly to if you had converted Astari there. Which means they won't become useful again until you defeat or convert the Weyworld Astari tribes.

That's an interesting bug in itself, I'd say.

Homelessness is not an issue at all if you cannot get them to build a house just sacrifice them, if you have some fountains or a tree of joy celebrate after you get your gem(s) and then the problem is solved. Personally using this method i have sacrificed 30 of my followers at a time without loosing any happiness, so sacrificing a few homeless is no concern at all.

Actually, 'Homeless' status Builders will not build on vacant plots. There is a problem here, that should be documented as a bug, since there seems to be no action a player can take to change the status of these followers, and a player should not ever be forced into sacrificing any followers for any reason, as this is explained by Molyneux as having certain impacts to the outcome of the game.

This issue has been around the entire history of this project. It's been pointed out repeatedly and ignored like just about all the other important issues since release.

I mistakenly left my Followers helpless in the weyworld (WON'T happen again) and the Astari destroyed my farmer Village and a few farmers but not all of them.... Now I have homeless farmers and I can't do anything about it.

If you build a new Farmer Settlement you should be able to Leash them to the Settlement while the green percentage meter is above the Settlement. After that they should move into the Settlement.
