Hello everyone!

The messenger is here with a brand-new version just for you! And believe me, we have a lot of exciting news to share. But before diving into all of that, we’d like to remind you to join us on our Discord server to give us your feedback!

Wave System Added!

Thanks to the many valuable feedbacks we received (and a big thank you to everyone who took the time to test our demo and share their thoughts on Discord), we’ve come up with a fresh idea to make your explorations even more dynamic and aligned with our vision of a Reverse Tower-Defense.

From now on, an archipelago will be conquered over several waves. Each wave ends when you have no more creatures in play and no more cards in hand, whether because you’ve sold them or summoned them to help your waves progress across the islands.
Before each wave, you’ll enter a strategic phase where you can plan your actions based on your remaining energy and the towers and guardians you need to defeat.

We’ve also revamped the summoning system. Now, whether you’ve selected 5, 10, or 20 creatures, they’ll all appear at once when the wave begins.

Additionally, we’ve implemented a portal system at the borders conquered in previous waves. These portals allow your creatures to shorten their travel time, letting them re-enter the battlefield much faster from the cauldrons they emerge from.

Feel free to share your thoughts on this new feature! Your feedback is essential to help us refine and make this system even more enjoyable to play.

Aesthetic Glow-Up

We’ve long been aware of the aesthetic issues with our UI and KeyArts, but that’s all in the past now! We’ve given the entire UI the glow-up it deserved and resolved the technical issues that were preventing our illustrations from looking as beautiful as they should have.

Expect a much more visually appealing game, with detailed illustrations of our Loas and summons to admire! We’ve also taken this overhaul as an opportunity to add extra feel and juice to make your interactions more enjoyable and meaningful.

New Biome: Forest

We’re introducing a second biome! After the city, which represents Papa Legba and Marinette, it’s time to dive into the Forest Archipelagos of Gran Bwa and Ayida Wedo. This new biome brings fresh challenges, with more biomes to come, each offering new ways to face adversity!

This new biome also marks the foundation of our procedural system, which we’re excited to share more about in future updates.

We’ve also taken the time to enhance the visuals of our existing biomes, improving your overall gameplay experience.

Demo Limitations Reminder

A quick reminder of the current limitations in our demo:

Loas cannot level up beyond level 4
Creatures cannot level up beyond level 4 either
It’s not yet possible to upgrade spells and ingredients in the Great Kitchen

Needs A Better Tutorial

Hovering over anything with the mouse brings up code. There's no explanation for what anything means or does. (Yes, I did change the default language (French) to English.) I couldn't understand what I was supposed to be "mixing" or why. I gave this demo about 5 minutes before quitting....

Wow... What an adventure! It's incredible to think that we are going to deliver our first demo on Steam for a festival that suits us so well, the Tower Defense Festival.

We didn't initially plan to release a demo of our game this early in its development. But with such a festival, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to let you discover what we've been working on! We continue to work tirelessly on our game, and your feedback is essential to us. By sharing your impressions and suggestions, you help us refine and improve every aspect of the game. We sincerely hope that this first demo will make you want to follow us on this journey and join us on Discord to give us your feedback on our game!

So, why did we choose to create a Reverse Tower Defense? We set ourselves the creative challenge of going off the beaten path and ensuring that players find a real freshness in the type of game they will have in their hands when playing a game from our studio. The idea is not to revolutionize the market but rather to have a different approach to game design that will intrigue players around the world.

If you're reading this, it means we managed to catch your eye in the middle of this festival! We figured this would be the perfect opportunity to make you dive behind the scenes of our project...

We're a small team based in Lyon, in France, and we're putting all our hearts and souls into the creation of our first game: 'Inu: Loas'Fate'. Truth is, we have no demo for you at the moment, and frankly, we're sorry.

The reason behind is that we're very ambitious and we want to offer you alternatives to well-known gameplay concepts, while sending you into an under represented universe! Although we aren't quite ready to make you meet Papa Legba, Gran Bwa, Marinette and all the others... We promise it won't be long before it happens.
