If you have played Dorf Romantic or Townscaper and wanted something simple with people in it, you need to try this game. You build on an island and can fill it with farms, jetties to fish off, a quarry, a stonemason, and provide a theatre and an observatory as well as a library for your villagers or townspeople. Just to complete things, theres a town hall, a place of worship, and a pub you can add, then set the weather and watch as your people go about their daily business.
You have a choice of building on an island of various sizes, or an archipelago, for variety. There is a sandbox mode for people like me who throw the rules away once I know how to build, or you can lay to the strict requirements of the game, its your choice all the way through.
Either way, have fun and relax and watch the happy little workers do what comes naturally to them in a world you have created.

Although I got this on sale, I'd say it's still worth the regular price. It's a simple version of other similar games. It's cute and a little bit clunky at times, with some things left to be desired, but for what it's worth, it is a relaxing game. The colors and music are soothing, and it's nice to have some variety in terms of choosing the type of area you'll be building in (e.g. Alpine vs. Desert vs. Grassland vs. Wayo). It's got just enough variety to not get super boring too quickly. Being confined to a set number of small to medium islands per map makes this game even easier to pick up and put down, so it's a nice alternative to own and have a go at in between meetings or just killing a short amount of time, especially with a "daily" challenge map.

I do wish sandbox allowed for more expansion, like if more islands were revealed after connecting the visible ones, and even in the normal mode, the large islands don't feel that much larger than medium so I found myself spending similar amounts of times on any of the cluster sizes (small/medium/large). That all said, I still think it's worth the <$5 and is a nice little addition to the library.

I picked this up as a fan of games like Dorfromantik and Islanders, both of which I've played a lot more. To me, Islanders has been much more satisfying for me to the point I double dipped and got it on both Steam and Switch.
