It baffles me that such an error still persists months after this game's launch on PC. It primarily affects Nvidia GPUs and occurs after 2 to 3 hours of flawless gameplay.

Not so many reports here, significantly more on Reddit.

In the meantime, there’s a simple yet somewhat stupid workaround: play for about two hours, then close and relaunch the game. This should give you another two hours of smooth gameplay. Rinse and repeat. That's it.
