Game is too hard.
EDIT: Hazard 2 is just so outrageously difficult, it's honestly not fun. Can't imagine the difficulty of the other hazards. Makes me not want to play. You can have the game be really hard, just keep that for hazard 4-5. I've played 5 hours, know and do all of the tips and tricks, and still can only beat hazard 1 map caves.

Even as a Survivors expert hazard 1 (first level) is challenging with upgrades and hazard 2 is very hard. I can't imagine the difficulty of hazard 5. Are you supposed to be fully maxed to even have a chance? Hazard 1 should be easily doable casually with no upgrades, hazard 2 to be almost the difficulty of current hazard 1, and hazard 3 is when it really starts to get hard.

Difficulty needs to be toned down like 25% across the board.

Feel free to say how awesome and cool you are and that the game is 2 ez.

I'm at hazard 4 - 5 and the difficulty makes NO sense for how the game plays or was designed. It's as if the devs built a game around hazard 1 + 2, said "good nuff", then just copy/pasted the map up to hazard 5 and simply adjusted static variables to increase enemy damage/HP - no intelligent difficulty scaling whatsoever.

This game has a lot of work to do to make things more interesting. The power-ups imo are horrid and very one dimensional, especially for how difficult they made the game and how much they rush you/force you to flee. I desperately want the game to succeed because this type of survivor on paper should be great, but the core mechanics and loop of this game honestly seems like an Alpha project, nowhere near finished.

I'm completely burned out and bored with the game at hazard 4 & 22 hours in. I feel like I've seen it all and because of the difficulty making the game feel more like a chore than a fun horde killing survivor, I find I turn it off shortly after starting it up. Vampire Survivors had me hooked and wanting to experiment with evolving all weapons (because it was possible and fun!) whereas this game expects you repeatedly fail to eventually succeed.

This post wasn't asking for help but to explain to the devs how the game is too hard. If I needed help I would ask that. Instead I waited until I had a solid grasp of the game before I made my thoughts known about the excessive difficulty. You shouldn't need to cheese the game either with Op overclocks.
If you think this game is too hard, yes, you do need help, because you obviously don't have a "solid grasp" on anything.

Sit this one out homie. Obviously English is not your native language so I wont bag on you too much about it. Quick tip, don't ever tell anyone they want to sit on a golden donkey in real life. You might get hit lol.

BTW there is literally nothing original about DRG:S at the moment. You obviously have not played games for very long. Hell even Halls of Torment which is a half ass and hardly developed game has more depth than this game currently. Hence why players who know games are giving this thing called FEEDBACK.

Block time

That's not true, this has the very fun mining mechanic which I'm pretty damn sure no other Survivors game does.

mining mechanic? I hate to break it to you that is not original. Touching something that drops a resource is not ground breaking.

I like the game, hope it continues to improve. I played the demo, and am currently playing it now, have gone as far as hazard 4 in most biomes. But lets be honest, there is nothing original YET about this game. I play this game for the same reason I play the Isaac series, Death must Die, VS, Halls of torment, Bounty of One etc etc. I love rogue lites.

It is original when you can mine through the terrain to create choke points and escape routes. No other Survivors game has done that, name a single one if I'm wrong. Now of course it's not original for gaming as a whole, but who says it has to be?

Already read that and do all of them. Game is still too hard in the lower hazard levels.

Choose wisely with your perks/upgrades.

Rarity isnt always the best.

If you have trouble getting ahead of the bugs, Choose a couple of run speed buffs.

Cant kill them fast enough, reload speed rate of fire might be better than straight damage.

always try to level your perks to how you play. I leveled mining speed and reload speed first, so I could choose other upgrades in run and not have to worry about reload and mining right off the bat. It opened up more choices at the start of a mission.
Newb stuff. I'm way ahead of you.

The other guy, also newb tips.

I do all that and more, such as majority of time mining for resources and secondary objectives, utilizing the minimap. Being aware of my surroundings so I don't get surrounded, make chokepoints in the rock, use the falling artifact thing to instakill the boss when convenient, etc. Game is still too hard.

Its an upgrade game. Youre NOT supposed to clear haz 1 till a few upgrades (With that said, I started clearing Haz1 after 4th game).

I will say ... I could use 10 more seconds to the drop pod timer, lol.

It's really not. I've continued playing to the point i've completed 3 biomes on Haz1 using different classes. Lots of unlocks and overclocks etc. That said, the first couple hours of the game are too slow because you're paper thin and shoot confetti. After some overclocks it suddenly opens up and it's a lot of fun. Removing that sluggish part at the start by giving a few more unlocks and overclocks really wouldn't hurt the game and might avoid a few needless refunds. And all the hardcores can keep on hardcore'in without it affecting them.

Ahh yes.

the old "I'm not complaining, its just feedback" excuse.

So, we werent actually helping you, we were giving you feedback?????
Nice try, but feedback would be if I uploaded a gameplay video and you critiqued it. I did not. So instead you gave unsolicited newbie advice to my constructive criticism. And naturally got called out for it.

Youre the only one getting called out. Your advice was not constructive. Its an opinion; that many don't share.

You obviously had the skill, or you wouldnt of posted this.

Any game fresh out of the gate, no matter which genre it is, is slow to start.

I mean game isn't that hard, you can even use the supply crate on each lvl to one shot the elite from floor 1 to 4, and 50% of the floor 5 boss.

Some weapons are trash tier, but it happens usually during EA.
