"warthug" auto 210
the "Warthog" fells clonky to aim. in comparison to "lead storm". they both have the *Shoots in move direction* but while the "warthog" shoot only Straight forward, the "lead storm" aim in a arc in front of you.
this and the fact its difficult line up especialy when a horde is chasing.
It would it be nice if the "warthug" hade the same arc to help with the aim.

But that really counts for all weapons. Frankly I'd be happier if even the 4 direction guns had one aiming where you look at (+-5 degree correction to closest enemy). Would make a lot of the guns feel less annoying.

Think of it this way.

it lets you aim better than one that decides where to shoot regardless of what where you want.

run speed is your friend. just a little lets you outpace bugs easily

I honestly think it's an overpowered weapon. It kills everything way too easy even on difficulty 4. Though the aiming is buggy sometimes cause you can be aiming top left of the screen and it will shoot top right. I usually dig into a wall a bit, go straight through not at an angle. Makes it much easier to aim it and clears hordes like a mfer.

If you have a gamepad (Xbox, Playstation or whatever), Warthog 210 feels really good to aim with it. Just use an analogue stick for precise movement. Tbh this game is much better with gamepad for precise aiming and movement, compared to keyboard.

I was also a bit underwhelmed with it at first, then at some point I got the Plasma overclock on it, and an obscene amount of Rate of Fire, and all of a sudden it was completely absurd. I also manage to get the Also Shoot Backwards overclock as the last one, and the entire screen was filled with bouncing plasma projectiles. Now everything else feels bad if I can't get that combo again, it ruined the other weapons for me :)

The main issue with the warthog is that you cant face any direction, only seeming in discrete angles (even with controller), this is compounded by the fact that with KBM the angle of your model can become detached from your true facing leading the warthog to look like its not shooting directly "in front" of you due to the mismatch (this is likely the bug @Lanka is referring too).

That model alignment mismatch should be easy to fix, but the fact characters seem to be locked into certain angles is likely deeply embedded in the game's logic and thus not going anywhere.

That said the gun is usable, and even very good if leveled, just very wonky (especially on KMB)

Warthog feels clunky at first, yes, but that's why the lvl 12 Overclock is there - most such short-lined or shot-coned weapons benefit GREATLY from turning their ammo type into Plasma, which makes them bounce off of the rocks - then it suddenly doesn't matter that the Warthog only shoots forward, as most of the shots shot will land on enemies anyway.

Then again, precisely because the Plasma Warthog Overclock is so good, this feels like a no-choice. You either take the Plasma or suffer, making for an AMAZING experience when you do get the Plasma Overlock and for an extremely MEH one when you don't.
