So, Hollow Bough
The fat macteras here can go sit on a cactus. Every time you try to mine a mineral vein they show up and force you to run because they ignore terrain and can't be killed fast enough.
As soon as you get to haz 3 they constantly stop you from mining and get on your nerves.

I hate macteras, they're not finished and are not balanced (they should have way less HP for flying over any obstacle)

The worst thing in Hollow Bough is that there's way TOO MANY UNCERTAIN DEAD ENDS

It's often unclear if you can slip through those vine walls or not, especially at the edge of a map, it's sometimes a 50/50 chance if your dwarf can walk around it or not.
It also sometimes happens that there's a gap in the vine wall and you can still not go through it because there's a pit right in the gap that was covered in vines

idk about you all but I think that Hollow Bough either needs less dead ends or at least should make it more clear if you can squeeze through a gap or not

Hollow Bough is definitely the most obnoxious one. There's far too many vine walls on it. Once you get to Haz 3 that map just becomes a complete nightmare to navigate, especially when you lack any consistent DPS.

I don't necessarily disagree that Hollow Bough vines might need some adjustments, but keep in mind sometimes the best option is to YOLO through a pack of enemies provided you have a sufficient amount of health. Better than dead-ending.

The minimap tells you if you can go there or not. Minimap always show gaps even if it is hard to tell on the actual field.

Yup. A lot of the time you get through with 1-2 small minion hits. You can even plan to do that if you've got a lot of healing available. Identifying a good loop to run is my first priority on HB, though.

I'm not sure why the devs thought giving Mactera flying and also the highest hp of any tough enemy or elite was a good idea. They should be the most fragile to make up for the fact you can't kite them with walls.

Just tried haz 4 crystal cavers and these MFing fat macteras constantly show up right from the start.
I can mine less than half as much stuff as I could previously just because of these effing things constantly getting in the way and there not existing a way to deal with them.

And also the fact that when you are mining through walls, 90% of the guns hit the walls so you can't even damage the mactera :P

Higher hazard first map = prioritize mining speed and run speed early on and you can kill the elite mini boss with the drop pod if your damage output is too low.

I have high move and mining speed. Doesn't help when these things fly over terrain and never die because you only have 2 unupgraded guns.
