Bad performance.
Bugs rolling around randomly through terrain, cant think of a more dumb thing to add.
Even more unbalance between specific builds then the other biomes.
Not fun in general.
The aspect of the softer and harder salt rocks is pretty cool but i was hoping something more fun
However i don't like mini elite roly poly 1 tile gap tunnels. Grunts can easily spawn in there and you can's see them. Basically same "enemies behind the rocks" problem but now it's amplified to the max since these tunnels are nearly everywhere.
I can't really separate my opinion of the level from my opinion of the rolly-pollies, which is not good. The smaller ones are just random damage you take in too many circumstances, either because they've blended into the environment, are hiding in a 1-wide gap or because they simply outrun you and you've nowhere to go. They seem to really fly in the face of the notion of the game as I took it, which is that you succeed by herding and controlling the bugs. The larger ones are immune to knockback which I find very lame. Having one roll through a 5-stack of seismics to hit you is quite the annoying experience.
Edit: I suppose their saving grace is that they have very few HP?
Had no issues with any bugs or performance issues yet.
Mining is a breeze with fully leveled Drillers and gets easy for other classes with 2+ Purple+ Mining Bonus's or more.
The little rolling bugs are very easy to kill before they reach you with a leveled AoE and the large rollers are slow and easy to dodge.
I find its gotten easier to move around enemies at higher movement speeds, almost feels improved from the first 3 maps.
I like the zone, but wish we had an Endless mode at the end of missions with a Leader Board so we could see each others Rankings.
I like it. More is good. I am hoping for a little more EndGame stuff.
Something to do with our gold and resources after we've upgraded everything. etc. ^^
At this point I'm starting to believe H5 with classic scout is outright impossible. Unless you get insanely lucky.
They seemingly doubled down on the visibility problems by creating the smaller tunnels to hide the little bugs better. At least they already acknowledged that problem. While we are at it: The visual clutter when a lot of explosions are going off is insane. There is too much noise, making it difficult to dodge anything.
Those rolling bugs were annoying in H1-3 but could just be ignored. On H4 the damage they do combined with their speed and numbers is already quite dangerous, especially since they seemingly do not always follow the laws of physics when bouncing off the walls, making it hard to predict where they will go. Add in the fact that you cannot herd them like the normal bugs and it's a recipe for disaster.
Having those green bugs outside of swarms combined with the sand walls doesn't make it any better. Before the patch, starter weapons already had problems with effectively killing bugs in the early game on H4. Now it's just impossible.
I cannot wrap my head around the fact that they indeed nerfed weapons. All of the available weapons need buffs because they are too weak, at least initially. It doesn't help that weapons become ridiculously OP once they are 18+ as long as they do nothing before that. Maybe make weapons effective at all levels and address the scaling instead?
