We can definitely look at adding in an offset rotation option for comfort! That said, to offer some explanation, the offset is tuned to align with the grip of the controller as if you were holding the staff, and aiming a staff forwards in real life realistically would require such a wrist pose!
As for your wrist "cutoff" suggestion, I cant say for sure if this is something we will address, as having the full gauntlet present is artistically relevant to the game (the gauntlets represent a major part of the forthcoming expansion). That said I can promise we will definitely discuss some alternative solutions and see what we can come up with to please people whom this bothers
