Tips for fighting Patriarch in solo?
Every time I get to the boss round I'm having heaps of trouble against him. I'm completely fine against Hans, he's fairly straight forward to handle and doesn't heal to full health three ♥♥♥♥ing times.

It's kinda ironic because of what I *barely* played of multiplayer, the Patriarch seems to be super easy... Everyone just stands still shooting at him while he's distracted with someone, while Hans seems to be quite the opposite. Meanwhile in solo Hans is super easy to kill and the Patriarch really isn't.

Recently I've found out about buying the RPG-7 on the boss round (something that should be stupidly simple, I know) and it made Hans even easier, but for Patriarch I end up running out of rockets on his second heal. I mean, hell, it got to a point where I can finish some maps without too much difficult in HoE if the boss is Hans, but rarely win on Suicidal if the boss is the Patriarch. Am I missing something here?

That's odd because Hans is seen as the hardest of the two. When he starts rushing you, he's impossible to outrun unless you're using a perk with movement buffs. Hans is more melee-focused and the Patriarch is more dangerous at range, his minigun and rockets are pretty lethal.

If you kite the Patriarch around an object he can barely touch you, for example the snowtrack vehicles on Outpost. The Patriarch has more HP, but he runs off in between his stages giving you time to heal up and regroup. The fight is more forgiving than Hans because of this.

If you're planning to use the RPG, play Demo because he lets you do more damage and carry more ammo for it. Consider buying multiple RPGs and dropping them around the map so you have spares if you run out.

If you're playing solo, a good strat is to cover Patriarch in C4 and detonate it all when he tries to go heal. Works every time if you manage to land an RPG in there too.

Dropping RPGs and covering him in C4 sounds good. Didn't think of those, thanks!

When he's plastered in C4 you'll see him cloaked. Floating C4.. lmao.

What kind fo perk level are you? I find that for patty, its usually no more than 3-4 mags per phase playing as commando, and if I get lucky I can even kill him before he heals.

I didn't try much besides Berserker (23) and SWAT (16). Although I'll admit the boss fights got easier as Berserker when I figured out I could swap the perks (swap out parry and vampire) before the boss fight.. lol

Parry is great, you should take it for the boss. Just run up, let him attack you once to get the parry. Then pull back and shoot him w/ your Evis with your crazy damage buffs :ElizaHeart:

When I go Beserker for the boss I use all right-skills.

Parry is great and all but for the boss it just feels... Unreliable. At least the resistance is a guaranteed 20%.

Parry gives you damage and speed too! It's totally worth it :narcissu01:
It's just a case of memorizing his different attacks and knowing which you should parry (:

Good thing about Patty is that when you're close to him he'll just do melee attacks, which are probably his weakest moves. You can effectively stun him like this by spamming parries and gaining lost health back w/ skirmisher.

Just have some cover nearby if he decides to go for rockets, he usually indicates this by his voice taunts. Skirmish and parry gives you all the speed you need to get out of there ASAP~

Unless you're a commando, sharpshooter, gunslinger or (sometimes) a fireburg and berserker, dont try to chase him down while he runs away, youll be wasting time and ammo after he regens.

Commandos both have large magazines and decent damage outputs so you may be able to kill him before he regens, also you can see him when cloaked which helps.

A sharpshooter with a railgun can definetely kill him before he regens, as long as you turn off auto-aim.

Gunslinger, with .500 revolvers also kill him quick enough.

A fireburg with dual spitfires wont kill him before he regens, but you can dish outsome extra damage so he doesnt have as much hp after regen.

Only chase him as berserker if you have the blade launcher (dont remember what its called in-game). If you only use melee, you cant catch up to him, focus on the other zeds while he runs away.
