in any case, in the end, i was not able to do it. stuck at 3. and dailies roll over 1 hr. earlier than i thought so it actually ended before i had any chance to even go back to it.
saw decent # of edars but it was like 5:1 bombers and blasters vs trappers. a daily shouldn't be contingent on a certain map at any rate.
ty for your reply tho.
As an aside, I haven't experienced too many crashes (fortunately) but there are quite a few odd things. Looking forward to an update.
So this daily is only good for people opted into the beta and interested in playing Santa's Workshop?
I agree with the OP - five is too many given the rarity of their spawn rates.
I didn't know "the idea" was to get people into sui. Obviously makes sense in a way, but, while on one hand, the 50% increased spawn rate (.15 sui vs. .1 for hard) sounds good, otoh, that's only 3 out of 20 every stalkers/husks becoming edars vs. 2 out of 20. so ... u are still looking at killing a lot of zeds overall to find 5 edars of a type.
(Also: are the ppl who need "pushing" into sui even aware of stuff like spawn rate difference?)
FWIW, I can't think of the last time I used "mob spawn rate" as a reason to play MP for a daily, which in part is because most of them seem balanced already. Which is another reason why this thread exists.
...
In general, because "ppl" have this abnormal lust for cosmetics, it leads to many attempting these missions who realistically have no business doing so. The decisions are not the same as what a player would be thinking if playing thru a game for the "skill" of it. You would ask yourself, on some level: "am I really ready for HoE?" before actually attempting HoE, whereas for players who are hooked on cosmetics, that doesn't even cross their mind. They are going to try to snipe any game they can because they want some stupid item.
Dailies pushing lowbies to greater heights frequently hurts the "better" players who want to play MP "in peace" on harder skills and not have every game turn into epic carry.
So it actually winds up playing solo is the "given", if I want to have the best chance of ensuring I complete the vast majority of dailies. I only opt for MP as a diversion: I'm feeling lucky/bored; the daily quest in question is so easy that it should be achievable even with other ppl potentially "working against me"; and just on the legacy principle that KF is a game best enjoyed w/ others, even tho i regret that choice a majority of times because scrubs or other reasons come into the game and mess it up.
