In-game voice chat not working

So after facing this problem for years now, I came to the conclusion that kf2 voice chat doesn't like Realtek's HDA drivers and will work normally if you use the UAD variant which is the stripped down version of the audio drivers. Unfortunately by the time I am writing this, I have no voice chat with either drivers.

I had the same problem yesterday. Usually it works for me but yesterday it randomly stopped working. I couldn't hear my friends and they couldn't hear me. It eventually fixed itself just to stop working again. I have a friend that the game never recognizes his mic so he has to keep restarting to make it work.

I have this problem both in KF2 and in Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. Simply can't hear the VOIP, I suspect it something got to do with the fact that they replaced VOIP from Steamworks to that uhh... VIXEN? VOXEN? The other one that is broken
