Can't Buy Store Items

I have been getting a bunch of crate drops but no key drops so I decided to just buy a key from the store and use it on a crate I like the most (because market keys sell for over price) and when I click the "buy it" button nothing happens. No error, no thank you for purchase nothing. The button stays orange instead of read and the clicking sound like I got it sounds but I don't receive anything.

I read a post about it possibly being a background program so I closed out of all programs via Task Manager and opened up the game from my desktop without opening the Steam window and still to no avail. Please help,

-You may have a secondary overlay or video recording system running but may not show up in the task manager for active programs. Try checking your system tray and exit any extras from there as well.

-Also as a note, keys don't drop.

I figured it out! For some reason my Steam overlay kept turning itself off when I would start the game so I left my settings menu open and turned it on and opened the game. Works fine now.

-Great!! Also, if you are new to the microtransaction system, you can buy items through the marketplace directly, or the in-game store, or try your luck with a crate/usb. Happy gaming!
