[Solved] Dedicated server error: MSVCP140.dll missing

Hello,

I'm experiencing some weird behaviour on my dedicated KF2 server. The server has been running fine for like 2 years, but since recently the following happens:

When the server is started and the first client connects, the server throws an "MSVCP140.dll is missing error" (as a pop-up message box) and the game on the connecting client freezes. If I close the error message on the server, the client "unfreezes" and everything begins to work just fine. The error is only thrown when the first client connects.

The server is running on a Windows 7 Professional x64 machine and this is what I have tried so far, without luck:

• Windows Update (everything is installed)
  
• sfc /scannow (no problems found)
  
• updating/validating KF2 files (everything is fine and up to date)
  
• reinstalling 2010 and 2012 vc redist packages (x86 and x64)
  
• reinstalling UE3Redist and NDP451 from the Binaries\Redist folder
  
• restarting the machine

I too am having the same problem. Right after this latest update for Krampus, I am getting the same thing but on my Windows 2008 R2 Server. I have done the same things as OP.

Did you managed to fix this problem? I have the same setup and I'm trying to fix but nothing seems to work.

MSVCP140.dll is included in Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable.
Installer is in KF2 subfolder "_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015".

-Sounds like you should try uninstalling 2015 from the server and reinstall it from online.

Indeed this did the trick. Thanks for the info.
Edit: i did got it from MS download page, it was not in the server files.
