Matchmaking does not work properly. Server Browser is recommended.

Of course you are, it's an advertised feature of the game that is quite frankly expected in a multiplayer focused game of it's year. Server searching is an incredibly outdated and dull way to play multiplayer, especially in co-op with your friends.

We are supposed to use matchmaking and is it SUPPOSED to work. The fact this has never been taken seriously by the developers is a crying shame as it ruins the experience for a lot of us!

Never heard anything so stupid in my life.

There is something called Making a Private Server Hosting and Invite Friends/Making a party :steamfacepalm:
You people are just making your life harder for not learning something so simple

There is something called Guides.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=433588451&searchtext=host
and there is a Tutorial Thread.

Also, is it really so hard for you to learn how to use the Steam Overlay to send a game invite?
When you click on Server Browse, there is something called "Create Party" on the right clear as day yet blind to many.
Not to mention the Filter tab called "Friends" so you know where your "Friends" are.\

Its called Having Basic Common Sense.

I see, so creating a party instantly stops anyone joining the game you join?
Is that what you're claiming?
