Unable to Connect to Multiplayer Games
Before the new update, the server browser was totally shot and would only show a maximum of ten servers at a time no matter what filters I had on. The only way to see more servers was to view my history. Well now that the update has come in, I can actually fill my server browser with more than ten results, but now I can't play anything online. One of two things will happen should I try to join a server. Keep in mind that it doesn't matter if I use the server browser or matchmaking, it will happen either way. The first thing that will occur is that I will connect to the server, play for one or two rounds, then be booted with the message, "Your connection to the host has been lost." The second thing that will happen is the inability to connect with the server in the first place and being greeted by the "Your connection to the host has been lost," message or "Connection failed." That is, if matchmaking can even find a match in the first place. More often than not I'll just be stuck there waiting without even the luxury of being told that an attempt to join any server at all had failed. I know for a fact that this isn't a problem with my internet because this happens regardless of the server's ping that I try to join, and every other multiplayer game I own runs without issue.

Same here. Tried deleting various files followed by validating and deleting/redownloading the game several times. Nothing worked so far.
If anybody got an idea please help

Try looking into the possiblity of security software causing the the problem. If you have a allow/ignore list remove the game from it and re-add it. Sometimes after an update security software doesn't recognize the changed game.

Ok so I've tried the following:
- Remove KF2 from firewall, start kf2, firewall asks if it should allow KF2 - press Yes. No effect
- Remove KF2 from firewall and then added it again in the list. No effect...
Any other ideas? It worked fine for the first 300 hours... :/

What AV or other security software is eveyone using that is having the issue? Has anyone tried completely uninstalling it to see if that changes anything?

One more question, do any of you having the issue use BTHomeHub routers (or rebranded Thompson routers) that are british made? Those have issues with default unreal ports.

You could try bypassing the router.

If connecting was working better with less results before the update, you could try lowering the MaxSearchResults= setting in Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config\KFUI.ini as a workaround.

This should let the max servers filter set the number as you wish - I'm not sure why it'd have been permanent before though.

I have uninstalled and redownloaded the game two times so far.
I use Windows Firewall (windows 10) and Norton anti virus, I also tried completely disabling the firewall which doesnt change anything.
What I've noticed though is that also I cannot connect to any Team Fortress2 servers, Battlefleet Gothic and, since yesterday, Teamspeak servers... so its not purely KF2, I just noticed it there at first. Other games work fine.
I suppose I got some other issue here. Will keep trying to fix

With RO2, we discovered there was an issue with some routers and Steam. The BTHomeHub routers (or rebranded Thompson routers) would basically choke on Steam packets and turn off, thinking it was an attack. This seems like its the same thing.

For now we recomend people reduce server count and report it to Valve.
