Why do videos feel smoother than the actual gameplay?
I watched a few videos on KF2 with the new "1080x60" fps setting. I noticed that the game looked smoother than ever and I was impressed. I thought that I had less than 40 fps as the game never looked like the one that I played with it's smooth frames and such. I got an fps gauge ingame and noticed that I get a solid 60 fps on ultra. Why do the youtube videos still look alot smoother than the acual gameplay?

From my understanding when you play games the gpu and cpu have to render and display the frames at the same time giving a small amount of delay, and I believe this is referred to as frame time. However when you watch videos all of the rendering is already done which means the cpu can show each frame without a delay in between each frame, making it seem like it is smoother.

I asked this to my self once, I was so (WTF??) cause videos looks so damn smoother and you say "why??? both are 60fps" and yes people on the internet says what Prolixitas said.

I think it could be but I have my doubts..

Then video show more FPS? that cannot be either but

maybe it show the 100% of the frame for every second and games doesn't?

Kf 1 gameplay felt very smooth to me, however killing floor 2 does not. Ths might be due to being early access etc. Not really sure.
When you watch a video you're not moving the scene so you don't see the input lag.

Go to steam-settings-in-game-enable FPS counter.
Then you'll see you're probably not getting stable 60 FPS so you should lower your settings or get a better hardware.

I play this with everything on Lowest settings and unstable FPS and it's one of the smoothest games I've ever played.
