You should be just fine toc heat and play around with thing in singleplayer. I messed around with a lot in KF1 singleplayer and there was no problem. With this game Ive messed with some thing to play around with singleplayer and had no issues. It doesnt say Vac on the store page and you would be playing solo offline which will not get you in trouble. Just dont cheat online with other players.

What kind of cheating have you done?

You should not be able to cheat and level your perks, if so, that needs to be addressed before release.

Good luck with that; the way the perk data's handled now, it's literally impossible to prevent people from hacking it, they don't even need to be ingame to do it.

just use custom map (google Killing floor 2 leveling) and there is a video with mediafire link

dunno if this counts as a exploit tho

It depends on which console command you use. Once you enable cheats using the "Enablecheats" command, you receive a system message stating that level perk progression has been disabled. But other commands, such as the ones that affect your hud/camera, do not stop perk progression.

I'm also someone who prefers to play many co-op games solo (like left 4 dead for example), I highly recommend you try this with other people though. I guarantee mp will become your prefered way of playing this (assuming ur not playing solo for techinical reasons). Unlike most other games, this requires no mic or text chat to function perfectly, infact you dont need to acknowledge anyone at all. The cooperation just works. You'll be surprised how much better the game gets aswell, loads more monsters, more intensity, more awesome "Did you see that!" moments.

I know you were asking about cheats and this is abit off topic, but give online a chance. You wont regret it.

If anything, I am curious. This is a thing that a human being is allowed to be.

Even so, my single player experience doesn't harm your mp experience, so why does this concern you? I don't play MP games. (odd wording, what I mean is I don't play games with people, so to speak, just like to do my own thing)

I don't even see how cheating the leveling would harm anyone else their experience, unless you are still bad at the game, go into the HOE difficulty and don't know what you are doing.

i just use the cheats to spawn in enemies and pratice parrying

They use VAC but in offline mod you can enable cheat BUT it doesn't level up your perk.
If you want level up, a testmap already available...

You can just disable VAC if config file. KFEngine.ini -> bUseVAC=False

I never cheat but i would more say serious in kf cheating? People when u cheat there: Whats then the reason still to play this? You destroy complete u fun of getting up. Whats so cool on max level in kf2: Great u running bored round again and can happy about nothing u work on. Cheating in kf2 is like u destroy the complete point have extra fun in the game( This is much needet in a game what all time repeat the same fight thing or u get bored like hell afther short time) Set the difficult down : theres no cheat needet for fun

On the contrary, not having to worry about XP for your class thus freeing up your repertoire of weapons to offperk weaponry and worrying less about "tagging kills" as you've cheated your way to 25 can be a way to enhance the fun of the game.

As for the other replies, I appreciate some of the things said, for sure. As for people asking why, I dunno. I just enjoy having my own form of fun, in solo play, in a lot of games, really. just how I've always been. :s
