Female Characters

I understand that for now, the devs have more important things to worry about but I really hope they will introduce more female characters. I mean, having only ONE girl and at least 6 dudes, if I'm not mistaken, seems bad. I would really hate it if the devs were to repeat the same mistake from KF 1. I mean, wake up, the game isn't just played by guys! I understand that they might be in higher number but that doesn't mean the girls are trash and don't deserve a proper offer of characters to play as. C'mon, devs work with us lol

UPDATE: Here is a copy of my last post explaining a few more things (in case somebody is still having doubts):

I have stated somewhere in this post that I have played as male characters, I have also played as robots, etc, I don't mind doing that but after awhile it gets a bit boring. The only thing I mentioned was that it would be nice to have more variety. I have never stated that my wish was more important than fixing bugs, nor have I said that the devs shouldn't be fixing the problems related to crashes or, even, that I expected more for an early access! My original post had no timeline, I was talking about the future, when everything would be functioning almost, if not, perfectly. I mentioned the 1 to 6 as an example, in case they were, in fact, thinking of keeping the low proportions. Maybe I wasn't very clear, my bad.

Regardless, why is it so wrong for me or anybody else that agrees with me to express our opinion on something that, clearly, most of you don't really care about? Just because some of us would like to have more options when choosing a character that doesn't mean, in any way, that your experience in KF would be different. If you don't care then why do you keep on bothering and offending other people that would like to see something different? Yes, we hardly see the character we are playing as but what does that have to do with anything? Can't we choose whatever we want?

Personally, I haven't been rude to anybody however people have been very disrespectful in return, I really don't get why. Some of you act like I'm overreacting about this topic when, in fact, most of you are being very aggressive towards other people who disagree with your points of view. Again, I made a simple comment with no strings attached and yet, I have been labeled dumb, sexist, among many "wonderful" things. Learn how to be more tolerant, folks."

I've been playing the female characters in killing floor since they were available, makes me feel like a minority and I love being a minority - generally comes with benefits in this era.

As you said so yourself, they have better things they gotta focus on, but alas i wouldn't mind more female characters. I adore playing as female characters, dead bored of playing as my own boring male gender. Hopefully they'll bring back Mrs.Foster and other female characters, because quite frankly the one in game now is horrible. Her design is something i cringe at very much so, and then you have the lines, oh god the lines. ''Not so chemical romance'' *sigh* this one really gets annoying.

If your primary concern about the game is the unrendered genitalia or the imaginary chromosomes of a make believe person then you are the one with the issue. They are blank shells. They dont have personalities they don't have a real story they dont have any real development. Its just an avatar. Seriously, stop trying to make it into an issue.

Quite the contrary. The characters do have a minimal background and definitely a personality. Not simply an avatar.

@Ruben T: I'm a girl and I usually like to play with a female avatar but on KF1 the offer they have is really poor. The avatars are ugly as hell and it gets boring playing with a mask on your face all the time lol Sometimes I play as a guy but I don't really like that. The female avatar on KF2 is an improvement but I do agree with you about the lines lol

@sHAkE_zOOLA: No, my primary concern isn't the gender of the avatars but since I have been a paying customer, I believe I have earned the right to express my opinion on the matter. Frankly I don't understand why there are so few female avatars to choose from. Why can't I enjoy the game playing as the avatar I like? It shouldn't be something so hard to accomplish since most games out there have plenty of choices, avatar-wise. I also don't believe I'm trying to make this into an issue, this has been a topic for quite sometime now and people have demonstrated interest in having more female characters to choose from.

Its just an avatar." well this applies to the game itself, wouldn't you agree? It's not real, the zombies aren't real, however you still choose to play Killing Floor. Why? Maybe because you like to kill those empty shells with your not so real guns playing as the avatar you like best. So why is it ok for you but wrong for me to want the same thing? It has been known that people like to have the ability to make choices regarding their avatars, otherwise all games would have only one option and we would all play as that.

I have been playing as guys on some games including KF so what? Can't I play as acharacter of my own gender? Why is that so wrong? I would simply like to have more variety, I don't know what's so wrong with that!

You are being sexist to assume that I don't ever play as a male character just because of what I have written. Usually there's a bigger offer of male avatars because of the sort of players they have in their games.

The unspoken assumption is that sharing genetalia with your avatar in a game is somehow noble. It isn't. There is not a single character that looks like me, acts like me, or even vaguely resembles me. Doesn't affect my experience in any way. I play the female alot cause I actually love the whole death metal vibe. I also play the scottish preacher, and I am pretty far from both of those. Seeing as the whole issue is this desperate need to be "represented" during a zombie apocolypse...congratulations. You are represented. Now play the game like everyone else.

Does anyone care? I don't. Why should we? It's a game. The only people who do are casuals. Play the game for its content and stop crying about the minor things. I bet that if there was a game that had ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay, and absolutely no story, then these people would still whine about the fact that there isn't any women. Would anybody really care if there isn't women if the game sucked? I would be pissed that the game's mechanics and graphics aren't good and that I payed for it.

Let's whine about the major things like the weapons (working on), environment (also working on), and the customization and replayability (grrrrr). After that is said and done, then we can have them really focus on your feminism. The way I see it is; if they finish what they are dealing with now, then they can put more of their team and attention into creating and detailing what we want later so it won't look like ♥♥♥♥ now.
