Why are evil scientists always German?

All decent answers (except the fool who said its because they lost), but the truth is that you have to do some extensive research to come up with a group who came even close to doing the kind of experimentation that people like Josef Mengle actually inflicted upon actual people. The way that we as a culture have absorbed the horror that we had at this discovery was that the "Nazi Doctor" was forever imprinted upon our collective psyche as a nightmare. Not germans. Nazis. It is very unfortunate for modern germans that such a familiar sound to them is often associated with evil, but that's what happens when a country does the things that the Third Riech did, and not even a century ago. No one blames germans today for Nazis, but neither does anyone care if their feelings are hurt when they see nazis as a villain. Thats the price you pay for the past, especially the recent past. We like seeing Nazis as villains because they were ultimate evil. Or as close as we have seen to it. To paraphrase the great Frank Miller...

"The great thing about Nazis is, no matter what you do to them, you don't feel bad."

Nah it's not that the evil scientists are german, but that they are Nazis. Just being german means nothing but if they are Nazi's, they are evil.
