Anyway. The guy who wrote "autism never ceases to amaze me" had it right. All of the "only true metal" (and especially the "all of the important metal genres") guys look so silly (while trying to look exactly otherwise), as well as their beloved music which is usually a metal equivalent of Britney Spears. And I would rather listen to Britney than something that tries to fit the genre to be "true", while usually butchering the, oh, I don't know - just the most important part? - guitars.
It's so funny how so many bands try to pull off superfast, pseudo-heavy, probably complicated riffs while remastering their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ songs to have vocals over the softened guitar sound.
Not to mention all the ballad-ish bridges and ♥♥♥♥. Most of the "metal" scene makes me puke.
If You want a proper guitar treatment, go listen to Nine Inch Nails. These guys can squeeze more metal out of the acoustic guitar than most of the "metal" bands. "Last" alone blasts most of the metal scene. Or Queens of the Stone Age. And if industrial and rock bands have better riffs than this so-called metal, then... well, answer yourself.
Most of the time people send me some kind of metal crap it just reminds me why Industrial and Electro stomps on this almost dead genre of music.
And on topic of the KF2 OST itself:
KF2 soundtrack is... I dunno, mediocore. Not industrial enough. Not metal enough (the effin chorus' on some tracks, eeeww), not electronic enough. KF1 OST was repetitive, but mostly industrial and kinda felt like a complete package, not chopped, randomly picked songs.
I went cross-eyed reading the beginning of your post becaue you obviously don't know what metal is. The soundtrack should be industrial without vocals, though.
Anyway Ozzy's, Metallica's or Pantera's days are over (and it's not like every single thing by them was epic, IMO) and the newcomers suck ♥♥♥♥, nevermind the genre.
Industrial, Thrash and Doom metal is where it's at. The rest is mostly a joke or posers.
Symphonic metal, bueheh
It is weird that all of the bands are from this weird subgroup but it makes sense they're friends with the studio head.
Don't like the soundtrack, use a mediaplayer, and listen to WTF you want. I'll recommend the new SLAYER record Repentless.
Death metal could be better in this game.

The instrumentals are awesome, any other way and you're playing KF2 the wrong way.
