Why are all of the bands on the soundtrack Christian Metal?
These particular bands are deathcore or metalcore ontop of that, making them very hard on the ears for metal fans. Anyone know why they went with all Christian Metal?

They should make it so you can import your own music into the game. That would be sweet. Then you can mix and match whatever metal you want. (:

I listen to metal, and in both KF1 and KF2 I muted the music immediately.

Nevermind, found my own answer. Tripwire Interactive President John Gibson used to be in a Christian Metal band and is friends with Christian Metal band members. So he wanted his friends in the game. He posts another explanation on their forums about how that style of music happened to fit the criteria for the game, but the Christian aspect of all of the bands doesn't make sense since that isn't really describing their style, which is horrible metalcore and deathcore. There's tons of non Christian bands that sound the same. http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?s=733cf39eeca7cd6e307141ed6d582eff&t=104004&page=2

It would be really cool if they actually hired popular metal groups to make songs just for the game. So the beat matched what was going on.

But I see that being way too expensive. Regardless, it would still be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sweet.

Metalcore and deathcore are a horrible genre of metal that is sadly popular amongst younger metal fans and non-metal fans. The breakdowns, vocals and repetetive chugging riffs that they steal from eachother is really boring. Pure death metal goes back to the 80s and is connected to thrash metal. Theres tons of metal to listen to that is more interesting or technically superior. Technical Death Metal, Power Metal, Black Metal, Folk Metal, Thrash Metal, Doom Metal, Neo-classical metal. You name it and it is better than deathcore/metalcore.

It's realy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ metal that Tripewire presient handpicked from his buddies. I'm not a fan of industrial metal but the industrial metal songs in the game that aren't from some of the well known christian metal bands fit the game very well.

It's not metal enough. Don't try to understand it, you will fail. Personally I'm not a huge metal fan so I don't understand all the genres or the fuss - all I know is sometimes it fits and sounds good and others I just don't even bother. (Nothing against metalheads, I'm sure its great, just not my cup of tea.)

Metal does fit in with KF2 though. Gives it a nice ambience. :P

Im talking about Impending Doom, Demon Hunter and Living Sacrifice in particular. They're horrible nu/core christian metal that most metal fans hate and non metal fans probably think sounds ♥♥♥♥♥♥ compared to some more traditional metal.

I'll just nod my head and agree, because I really have no place saying what's good and what isn't on that scene. You sound like you know your metal.

Old school Metalcore, which was more a punk/hardcore genre than a metal genre, is pretty fun.

It's fun chugga chugga hardcore with Metal elements.

Are you really saying that's all metal there is? and those genres of all?
Normal Metal = Heavy Metal. That's the standard, where it all started.
Then we have Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Doom , Progressive Metal, Expirimenta/avant-garde Metal, Gothic Metal, Folk Metal, Alternative Metal, Post-Metal. and lastly, Neoclassical and Symphonic Metal.

Mix genres(punk and metal): Sludge Metal, Metalcore, Grindcore, Crossover Thrash.

Those are all the important Metal genres.

Well it's their game so they can pick whatever metal they want but if they made it so you can use your own music then that would fix your issue.
