62 FPS lock? [Resolved in Comments]

Was just wondering why my game (and everyone elses) will not go above 62fps? Having a 144hz monitor it would be amazing to play this game at that framerate. Thanks for any help on this issue!

I managed to get the FPS to 144 when on High Settings. On Ultra I get 60 - 62 FPS.
Edit. FPS was shown to me via Steam overlay.

yeah, also the screen tearing is killing me. 60hz monitor, vsync at 60fps and still tears up my screen. wtf

The console command Stat FPS reports a cap of 62 FPS for me as well although I am not certain if that number is correct.

Don't own game yet, but number 62 with Unreal 3 engine sounds really familiar:

Variable fps does what it sounds like, it allows for variable fps. No lock.

Open up "Documents/My Games/KillingFloor2/KFGame/Config/" Then open up "KFGame" Config File. Ctrl F and search for "MaxSmoothedFrameRate" Change that number to whatever you want the frame rate cap to be, save, done!

Mouse sensitivity is tied to frame rate, so make sure you lock it to something stable.
