Cheats on servers?

I made my own server and my friend and I want to mess around with cheats using the EnableCheats command, like you can do in singleplayer. But whenever I log in as admin and do that, it doesn't work. EnableCheats work, but then the cheat commands say they are not recognized.

We're not using any other program to mod or hack, we are using the implemented cheats command in the game. It disables perk progression anyways.

I don't have much experience with cheats, but I know if you, as the admin of your server, permit cheating on your server, you shouldn't have a problem, especially if perk progression is disabled.

But, back on topic. What sort of cheats are you trying to use? If you're trying an unlimited health or ammo cheat, it might not be a "universal" setting, and only you are affected by it. The fact that it is read as an error might be some sort of anti-cheat protection.

If you own the server, try having cheats enabled as the server is starting up by putting the enable cheats code in the .bat file, and attempt the same with the cheat your trying to use, somehow applying it to every player (sadly, I don't know how to do this).

I can't promise it'll work, but give it a try.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this since yest. I can get it to work in a single player game but I don't know how to enable it on my dedicated server.

There doesn't seem to be a way to manually disable VAC, either, yet the webadmin has a section on it. It keeps resetting though, so I don't trust it.

I think I read somewhere that the "enablecheats" command only works in single player mode.

adminlogin password > admin enablecheats

You have to type enablecheats as an admin and then you have to add admin before the cheat


For example: admin fly

First you have to log in as admin on the server you are tying to do it on. Then you have to type in the console "Enablecheats" (Without quotations). Then you can type in cheats, but you have to add "admin" (without quotations) Before each cheat.

For example: admin fly

In sinlge player it would just be: fly
But in servers you have to be admin and you have to add admin before the cheat you want to enter

Also, perk progression and achievements are disabled for the session you enabled cheats in.

but i guess ill just play the game i love killing floor 2 i wanted to play the first one but it wasnt controler support a friend of my did it i watch at his house an just the clicking or joysticks just didnt have the feel like in this game
so i got this one an love it
i love playing it but to be honest i dont think i would be able to do hell on earth lol thats why i asked about the achievements wanting to get them
