Aim Assist Please Go Away
When playing with a controller I notice there's an aim assist. This is getting quite annoying considering I'm healing and when I try to heal a mate the aim assist takes me to a zombie and I miss the heal. I cannot find an option to turn this off either.

I see how that is a problem for PS4 version, but why would you use controller for PC version? Still should be changed though

"Why would you use a controller for PC version?" Preference? Comfort?

And I agree with OP, I also made a thread complaining about it in the stress test beta. The aim assist also has a tendency to try and make you look at an enemy, even if you aren't aiming down sites and are trying to, say, turn around and run away.

Well I stream play to my nvidia shield often.

This is something that should be addressed but will likely get more attention from the devs if posted on the "feedback" board and not the general discussion board.

But having controlls that are objectively worse is neither of these two. I mean, everyone has keyboard and mouse on PC, so what is the point of making your ability to control your character worse. I'm not bashing or trying to flame, just questioning the rational basis of that choice xD

Actually, it is subjective. For example, I pretty much exclusively game on a controller(except in games with no support) I have been doing this since I was five and playing on a Sega, so I'm used to playing games with a controller. If I have to use KB&M, I am most definitely worse than if I were able to play with a controller. I am much better at controlling my character with a controller than a keyboard and mouse. It all comes down to preference and conditioning, I guess. Since I've pretty much only ever used controllers, I'm better at playing games with them. And even if I did ever try and condition myself to be great at playing with a keyboard and mouse, it would still be much more uncomfortable.

I'm pretty sure you can turn it on via ingame controls or via .ini files.

the point that you missed is that a K/M is far more accurate in controling fps games, the level of accuracy is higher than with a twin stick controller by way of design it just is, while people may prefer a controller, there is a lower limit to the "skill cap" in thier aim when using a controller, while a K/M once someone as gotten to a similar level of comfort (not said comfort not techincal skill) will be able to quickly make shots that a contoller cant or would struggle to do as pin point. thats the entire reason aim assist exists to start with, that fundamatal lack of exact muscule memory and aim that a K/M has, but saying that a controller is much better for some styles of movment, 3rd person platforming is the most common example, games like assassins creed and the like. But again as you said its down to personal preferance

Controller are more confortable , i have eyes problem , playing with mouse and keyboard forces me to be close to my screen , with the controller i can get farther.

kb/m doesn't require you to be closer unless you're playing on a tv and even then i didn't have to be much closer

Medic weapons have a lock-on feature, when you here it bleep and make a ticking sound its locked on to someone that needs healing, you don't have to iron sights to heal unlike the first game.

Last time i heard server admins could take off the aim assist, there is an option for it when you are hosting your own server. Unsure if it affects Medic guns or if it is ONLY for controllers, you should try and fiddle around with that or look in the ini.
