An alternative way to measure and compare is to use Passmark. This will download benchmarking software that you can use for free for 30 days: http://www.passmark.com/products/pt.htm. If you download, install and run, it will give you a set of numbers you can compare to ours. One of the catches with this is that the benchmark numbers for our Min/Rec specs can change. As of 21 April 2015, the Passmark scores corresponding to the specs are (we'll update these if we see them change):
Minimum:
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66GHz [1,883] or Phenom II X2 545 [1,914]
GPU: GeForce GTS 250 [901] or Radeon HD 4830 [962]
Recommended:
CPU: Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz [4,071] or Phenom II X4 955 [4,021]
GPU: GeForce GTX 560 [3,117] or Radeon HD 6950 [3,180]
Basically, compare the CPU and GPU numbers you get from the Passmark Performance Test software - they need to be above the numbers on our spec, obviously.
