Can I play with only Two People?

How does the game play with only two? Does it scale well to lower numbers, or are 6 absolutely required? And if it does scale, is that actually implemented now, or is it a future promise?

Yes, it is a coop game but any number between 2 and 6 works fine.
If you join a public game, others will likely join you and your friend.

Difficulty itself scales with the number of players, but it doesn't make it any easier until you're soloing or have max leveled perks.

1-2 people work great :) BUT on the higher difficulties the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ zed teleportation that there are 500 pages of forums threads complaining about makes it very difficult to play with only 1-2 people (more difficult in a stupid, cheap way I mean). You may want to wait until tripwire fixes this

I've been having a real hard time with 2 people come the boss wave. He seems to do so much more damage then he does solo. It's almost like he's scaling for 4-6 players or something. Have you guys experienced this? Any tips? Usually the combo is a Berzerker/Medic or more recently Berzerker/Commando. Not trying for efficiency mind you, but he shreds us in seconds. Whereas solo we can actually beat him.
