• The feedback process is horrible managed
→ No reason to participate in beta
Their primary reason for beta is bugfixing and balancing, but known bugs won't be fixed and balancing .. in kf2 ^^
As long as they don't change perks like medic zerk or weapons like healththrower or kaboomstick all balancing adjustments are worthless.
That's without talking about HRG weapons which are reskin of existing weapons but function a bit differently, which i hoped they would at least give them a better looking skin(s)
Maps stopped being made by the devs, and picked from community made maps.
Game is repetitive and new games come out, people like to try new things.
There are skills in many classes that has no reason to stay, some are never picked at all ( example fire storm vs heat wave ), and some other changes to perks that still will not be picked vs the other side ( inferno vs pyromaniac ).
The only thing I care about seeing out of the game this day is the glimmer of hope that we'll get a major balance rework, which I'm certain is never going to happen.
I agree with these points.
My personal one pretty much is summed up in your OP: no one to play with.
This is the one. Why limit myself to only a few games for meh content that is going to be added to the game officially soon anyway? I usually pop into beta to try the new stuff for a few matches and then switch back.
I suggest turning off beta or else you'll get bored.
I'm still playing in beta, though I have the achievements. Yes, it's lonely (for now).
There's only so many hundreds of hourst you can get from a game like that. I've maxed out prestige for my fav class, got 100% achievements, and after 7 years I mostly only complete new challenges and seasonal event druing updates.
There's a backlog of 200 games in my Steam library alone. Not sure why I'd force myself to populate servers in KF2 after all these years.
I think new map looks really nice, and design is very much OK. Can't say anything about weapons, I don't buy weapons or skins.
