I use the Alt key for secondary fire/block.
If you have a 5 button mouse the layout that I found works for me is. Right Button - Scope/Heavy Attack's. Left Button - Fire/Basic attack obviously. Middle Mouse - Nothing. Thumb Button - Block/Parry. Far Thumb Button - Melee.
It works for me and I like it. I never use block but having it that close felt right when I would play with it.
I don't have to move my movement hand much.
and trying to press middle mouse 9 times out of 10 will make me switch weapons since i scroll the wheel as well as pressing it in.
Q would be perfect if it wasn't the heal button. ^^
Alternativly, set spacebar to your block/parry and Jump to middle mouse.
