RPG Backblast
Has anyone been able to take advantage of it? I mean, as a Demo, I personally stay behind the team's defense (or at the center if guarding two spots). Zeds will likely never reach me from behind unless they breach, and at that point, I'm probably switching to C4 and throwing Dynamite for a quicker room clear than waiting for RPG to reload.

On the other hand, the RPG has a stumble rating of 120, which is enough to Stumble an SC / FP even when their Stumble Resistance is maxed out. Of course, you'd have to wait for the SC / FP to be 3.5m behind you.

Hardly, as is quite hard to predict when & where ZED from behind sticking aggro against you; until getting hit from behind.

Preferred running MedSMG/RPG on pubs, not going for C4 unless I'm with my friends/team.

it is either sacrifice a rocket for the stumble, or actually get in a DEEP situation where you're actually lucky to have oppertunity to get benefit from both rocket and backblast.

Thanks for the replies. It seems, at least on the surface, this is a really useless feature. The best thing is its Stumble rating and I'm just not too keen on wasting an RPG shot trying to stumble a Scrake / FP that's behind me. I mean, it's nice to know I can get an FP/SC off my back before it kills me, but I'll probably only live 3 seconds longer so what's the point.

Just wanted to add, maybe a good use for it is if you're camping and there's a vent on the ceiling that needs to be covered (ex: Paris hotel 2nd floor hallway), you can just turn your back to that vent and if you use RPG, you can probably keep that vent under control just by shooting at what's in front of you. Sure, you'll take damage here and there, but at least you won't have to focus your attention to it so much.

Yeah its more of a random thing, honestly I think it would be incredibly cool (though stupid) to have the alt fire spin the rocket launcher around so its facing backwards, and then you can aim the backblast.

Blackblast Flash News!
The backblast saved my SORRY ASS today! I was shooting with the RPG to 2 Fleshpounds and they are raging on a poor beserker.

I was following the beserker but since I'm slow I lost them. Then after searching a bit I found the beserker and behind him a Fleshpound.

I shoot the Fleshpound with my RPG and killed it and then I turned my back and SUDDENLY see another dying fleshpound behind me lol. THE BACKBLAST killed it OMFG!

You may think it is useless but sometimes it will be your savior :D

Thats funny stuff! Wish it was on video. Have you tried Nivdia shadow play? you can press a button then it records a bit of past gameplay. You dont have to have it running all the time lagging your game out and takeing up hard drive space.

Wish it was recorded >.< The moment when I realized wtf was behind my back was mind blowing! Too bad my pc can't handle more than playing KF2 on low settings so I can't use shadow play :P
