Dual wielding pistols + zooming.
Has anyone noticed when you use dual wielding pistols and zoom your view.. only one of the pistols is moved in front of your view - as if you're only carrying one pistol?

I can screenshot if this doesnt make sense.

I like the KF1 dualies way better. They could have just put a laser sight that activates when you aim down sights. Like they did with the Eviscerator, but only when you click rmb.

With the way that the KF2 dualies are being held, it should be a miracle for the 2nd pistol to hit the largest side of a barn.

As long as the 2nd pistol doesn't randomly shoot into the air sometimes like KF1, the KF2 ironsights are a nice change to the ironsights of KF1. It is pretty funny seeing the left pistol shoot so accurately on the side with ironsights view in KF2.

They added a crosshair in the last update

The crosshair is not for aiming, it is incredibly wide since you aren't meant to have an advantage from using it, but it is for people who easily get motion sick and need a reference point.

And also its hard to give a way of how you should dual wield pistols, because in real life its pretty stupid. I think that the way they do it in kf2 is actually decent, since you will atleast be aiming with one pistol, and the other pistol could be used to just shoot randomly and hope you hit something I guess, compared to in kf where you just point them in the general direction and they magically manage to hit where you want them to hit.

there only 2 solutions to this:
1 is what kf2 does
2 is adding laser sights to both guns

3 hold both guns sideways (one atop t'other) instead of upright and aim down the side of the top-most gun (being the more accurate of the two with the lower gun firing to a target slightly lower)

Brilliant? Crap? Probably a bit of both. Point being that I don't believe "there [are] only 2 solutions to this" as everyone will have their own preferences.

The poster earlier who wrote that "everyone" hated KF1's approach is just plain wrong. I'm one of the (apparently) few who could actually aim and headshot anything with dual pistols in KF1 (and enjoyed it), whilst a few of my friends complained about the mechanism KF1 used - each to their own.

KF2's solution? Personally, I hate it. But I hate teleporting zeds and clot-grab-turnaround even more so in the overall scheme of things...

I like the KF2 version a lot better, even though it's probably impractical in real life.

I don't know why they couldn't set up the dual wield ironsights by holding both pistols at a 45 degree angle. would look FAAAR better.

If I for some reason were to dual wield two pistols I wouldn't even bother to care about any iron sights, I would just point those pistols at my target and squeeze... Maybe if there were targets 15-100m away I would look through one iron sight and take some precise shots. Using two iron sights at once would just look stupid and unrealistic.

You shouldn't even be able to iron sight aiming with two pistols
To be honest, when I played yesterday I thought it was a bug because of how weird it felt.

It took me a few minutes to get used to but I prefer how KF2 is doing it.

At any rate dual wielding guns isnt pratical and noone is doing that in real life , if you do isnt for accuracy.. you dont hold 2 guns to be super accurate.. its to spray and pray, shooting like a cowboys , shooting at fast rate into the zeds, and i find it odd that most players could not aim in kf with duals. it was so easy, i never had any problems, perhaps its due to the fact that i never used any crosshair in KF games. Even when firing from the hip.
