Update your graphiccard driver. If this don't help, than your card don't support it.

What's your GPU?
HoosierBehemoth Aug 26, 2015 @ 3:19pm
Its an alienware console. I'm new to all this PC stuff guys

Your GPU is probably unsupported then. Flex requires a Nvidia GPU so if yours has an AMD, you're out of luck.

I have Nividia
Alienware console seem to be using customised version of the geforce graphics card's , you could look in your graphics card 3D setting to see if physx is set to the CPU but otherwise it's possible that it's might not support it.

Its set to CPU but I can set it to Geoforce GPU
switch physx to the gpu there , it's will then allow you to turn on Flex in the game.

Do you happen to be using an alienware alpha? I just read some stuff and apparently due to the custom GPU it is sometimes unrecognised by games using physx, not sure though. Either way it wouldn't be able to run the physx features well, you would experience low framerates a bit.

You may try to force the issue and go to my games/killingfloor2/kfgame/config/kfengine.ini and sert PhysX level to 1 or 2

1 = gibs
2 = gibs and fluids

But don't be surprised if the game will do strange things if you're really not supported.

If your game stops working or has very low framerate, just set it back on 0

alienware alpha is what I have. I downloaded the flex tech and can run it on high with gibs enabled. The fluids make computer stutter especially on headshots.

Are you looking in the files in teh steam common folder, or in the users folder?

Gorelevel doesn't effect physx, there is a physx setting, but you can't enable fluids in this build, regardless of config edits.

I have the same issue: the Flex is greyed out. However I have an Nvidia and formerly had Flex running before thr SWAT update. My config in users/<user>/mydocuments/mygames/killingfloor2/KFgame/config/kfengine.ini has PhysXLevel marked as equal to "1" so maybe it is on.
Not seeing a lot of intestines though...
