4-player Splitscreen?
Been on the fence about getting Killing Floor 2 but have held off because lately I've had the opportunity to re-indulge myself in local/splitscreen multiplayer games with the co-workers in our hotel room. I'm aware that splitscreen has become sort of a luxury considering how far online multiplayer has gone, but not everyone can be connected to high-speed networks 24/7. Forgive me for saying this, but even Black Ops III Zombies has a splitscreen mode.

Anybody else in favor of Tripwire adding a splitscreen mode to Killing Floor 2 in a future update?

For a game like this, I would have thought it would have splitscreen. but then again I know nothing about tripwire games.

I have looked this up out of curiosity myself and... it seems like they won't do it. unfortunate really.

Only way i can see this working is if Valve were to create a system where multiple Steam accounts can be logged onto the same computer. Otherwise, this will open up an avenue for abuse.

What would stop someone from just plugging in three controllers, have all of them be the same perk as the kb/m player and farm perk XP?

So far Killing Floor: Calamity has been the only Tripwire game to officially support local multiplayer on the same machine [OUYA and Nvidia Shield] which surprises me even more that Tripwire has not already added splitscreen to Killing Floor 2. Another reason why I would like to drum up interest for this feature is because I am picking up a Steam Machine to replace my outdated laptop to keep things on the portability side and using it for splitscreen/local multiplayer games.

The easiest way I've seen other games handle it is by adding a number to the guest player while using the main player's name. [Theoretically] that feature where each player uses their personal accounts can be done if each player authenticates their Steam account by logging on the local machine, maybe launching Killing Floor 2 at least once and then choosing their account in the splitscreen menu. Farming XP for a single perk with the three extra controllers would be pretty involved and require everyone playing eitherway.

I hope we see some splitscreen in this someday maybe when they release for PS4.

I would love it if Steam added that feature. Right now, in Rocket League and Black Ops III it just counts as a guest in split-screen with the same name followed by a number. I believe their experience doesn't stack.

I also wish for split screen, I would be satisfied with 2 player though.
4 player split may be crazy demanding on most mortal rigs...although, the more the merrier.

Unreal Engine seems to handle Split-screen pretty well. Hell, I played Dungeon Defenders on a notebook with two players and i didn't notice too much of a performance difference.
